About Caroline

Caroline Heffernan is a teen actor, singer, dancer and gymnast. She made her first commercial at age five and began playing featured and leading roles in Tony-Award-Winning regional theatres at the age of eight.

Past roles include "Scout" Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird (Steppenwolf Theatre),
the title role in Annie (Paramount), Mary Phagan in Parade (Writers Theatre)
, Young Louise in Gypsy (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Young Emma in In the Garden (Lookingglass Theatre), Young Kim in Showboat (Lyric Opera), Gracie in The Magic Victrola (Lyric Opera), Jane Banks in Mary Poppins (Lincolnshire Marriott), Young Fiona in Shrek (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Emily Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (Goodman Theatre), and many more.

TV and film credits include a leading role in an upcoming television feature film STOLEN (Lifetime), the guest starring role of Ariel Green on NBC's hit medical drama, Chicago Med; a small role in the feature-film, Headhunter's Calling; the role of Ella on an episode of NBC's Chicago Fire; and roles in several short films. Caroline has worked with many nationally and internationally renowned directors including Anna D. Shapiro, Gary Griffin, Rachel Rockwell, Francesca Zambello, William Brown, Michael Patrick Thornton, Jessica Thebus, Hallie Gordon, David Kersnar, Elana Boulos, and others. She was cast by two Tony-Award-winning playwrights to originate roles in their World Premiere plays: the role of Frannie in David Rabe's critically-acclaimed Good For Otto and the role of young Mary Page in Tracy Letts' Mary Page Marlowe on the main stage at Steppenwolf.
 
Caroline is also an honor student (Valedictorian of her middle school), an award winning USAG gymnast, and a Loyola Academy Varsity high school cheerleader (flyer).  She studies voice with Roberta Duchak, tap dance with Matt Crowle, and piano with Margaret James. Caroline plays a variety of sports, is an avid sports enthusiast and a world traveler.  She is the youngest of four children in an extended family of professional performers (www.HeffernanTalent.com).
